Legendia was the first and only Talesgame developed by Namco internal development team "Project Melfes", while Abyss was developed by the same team that developed Symphonia, and used its same graphics engine. Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Abyss were both released in Japan in 2005, with both being released in North America the following year.
